Acceptance criteria

What we fix before plates are made

These goods are bought to a drawing, a grade and a tolerance. That only works if the drawing is controlled, the features that actually matter are named, and the supplier can measure them repeatably.

Board and grammageBoard type, GSM and calliper, with the mill named.
Print processOffset, flexo or digital, with the line screen and colour count.
Colour standardMatched to a physical proof under a stated light source, with ΔE tolerance.
Die lineApproved die line and a physical cutter guide sample.
FinishingLamination, UV, foil, emboss and their sequence.
Food contactWhere relevant, migration compliance and the inks and coatings used.
Drop testTransit packaging validated by test, with the standard and result recorded.

Every criterion above appears in the inspection report as a pass or a fail, with the measured value beside it and the gauge named. A first article is signed off before any bulk is produced.

What we screen before a sample is quoted

Board downgauging

A lighter board that looks identical and crushes in transit. Calliper and GSM are verified on the delivered stock, not the quotation.

Colour drift across a run

Long print runs drift. The permitted ΔE and the check frequency are agreed before the press starts.

Food-contact compliance

Inks, coatings and adhesives carry migration limits for anything touching food. Declared and documented, not assumed.

Recycled-content claims

Recycled and FSC claims are asserted more often than certified. Where you will print the claim on the pack, we ask for the certificate.
